This is just the start.

Some days people will get an itch to make use of wasted space in their home. This project was for just that. An extra garage that also happened to be adjacent to the entertainment room. The garage opens up to the backyard and turning this garage into a “room” extends the entertainment area to the exterior of the home. Perfect for the beautiful nights that come about this time of year. So, this is just the start of a renovation for the Johnson family. This garage-to-entertainment area is going to be enjoyed by all (and just in time to plan their holiday parties).

Black acid stain. Hard troweled concrete. Garage conversion. Large tile pattern engraving. Darker border. Extra prep required for paint, foot print, and chemical stained floor.

Note from Artisticrete: It’s best to protect your concrete from paint or other chemicals if you plan on staining your floors. They should be treated as any other type of flooring. Having the concrete finished prior to painting and other construction-finishing and decorative projects can help prevent this. Not to mention it can save you time, money and give you the desired outcome.

Sometimes we have a client that just doesn’t know what to do. Typically, we hear “Well, what do you think?” That’s our first clue. We believe that somewhere inside that someone is a good idea. So, what do we do? We talk. We look. We get ideas from your ideas and thoughts. Inevitably, we find it. The perfect design.

Something New to Edgehill

Just a few short months ago, Artisticrete Engraving was contracted to build a bartop masterpiece for the newest full-service restaurant and bar to Edgehill Village (located in the famed ‘music row’ district). Jared and Rick worked with the owners, architects, contractor, and designers to create a one-of-a-kind bar for guests to feel drawn in. The look compliments the eclectic taste the owners were looking for. Artisticrete Engraving features commercial bartops at Bria (Bellevue), Whitfield’s (Nashville), and Taco Mamacita’s (Music Row).

In July, Jared got the call to create a new look just across the street from Taco Mamacita’s. A new and UNIQUE coffee shop was slated to open mid-July. Artisticrete Engraving worked around the clock to meet their deadline to remove the old surface, prep for stain, and give them just what they were looking for to go with the incredible barn wood walls and edgy furniture. Healthy anyone? Enjoy their deli-style menu and come see Artisticrete’s latest commercial floor.
